Tastings require advance booking.

The winery is 15 km from Veliko Tarnovo, which is about 15 minutes by car.

Vinarna Yalovo is one of the best and most cozy wineries in Bulgaria. This is boutique craft winery in the village of Yalovo, just 15 km (about 15 minutes by car) south of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. Known for reviving indigenous Bulgarian grape varieties like Pamid, Gamza, and Dimyat, it operates out of a historic former schoolhouse. The winery is driven mostly of the passion for wine, by the visionary Anton Tanev and the oenologist Dimitar Dimov. Pelin "Bez Grim" is a must to taste. A lot of extraordinary wines in small series which are very hard to find on the boutique shells round Europe.
The city Veliko Tarnovo is widely known as the "City of the Tsars" and the historical capital of Bulgaria. It served as the glorious capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire between 1185 and 1393, before the Ottoman conquest. It is a must-visit Bulgarian city.
